Description
2010 Violin by Dan King & Mick Quinn – Cardiff Violins
A handsome 2010 violin made by Dan King and Mick Quinn of Cardiff Violins. The instrument has a rich, warm amber-brown varnish with attractive natural shading and a traditional, elegant appearance.
The violin is well proportioned, with a finely carved scroll, dark ebony fingerboard and fittings, and distinctive flamed maple visible in the back and ribs. The varnish has developed an appealing character, giving the instrument the look of a much older violin while retaining the craftsmanship of a modern handmade instrument.
Made in Cardiff by two makers by two Luthiers of Cardiff Violins Ltd, this is an attractive choice for the advancing or professional player looking for a characterful British-made violin, rather than a factory produced instrument.
