Information for visiting Cardiff Violins shop
If you are coming to try instruments or bows, we advise getting in touch in advance to book an appointment. This allows us to prepare for your visit and ensure that we are able to assist you.
If you do not have an appointment, we will of course do our best to accommodate you but it is not always possible. Feel free to give us a call or email with any queries or for guidance.
During your visit, a member of our team will be on hand to assist. We are here to provide information and advice, as well as demonstrating instruments and bows for you.
If you are looking for an instrument or bow for your child, we recommend the child is present for the appointment so that we can be sure the right size is selected.
Castle Arcade is a listed building, and consequently, lift access to the balcony where we’re located needs to be arranged in advance. If you are planning to visit us and need access to the lift, contact Cardiff Violins on 029 20 22 77 61 so we can ensure access is ready and available for you.
For any further information or enquiries, please don’t hesitate to contact Cardiff Violins.

Getting To Us
We are located upstairs in Castle Arcade in the city centre, opposite Cardiff Castle. It is very easily accessible and there are many car parks nearby.
There are two entrances to the arcade. One on Saint Mary’s street and one on Castle street directly opposite the castle.
We’re located upstairs on the balcony, which can be accessed by the staircases next to each of the bridges inside the arcade. Wheelchair accessibility is possible, but due to the nature of the arcade (old and listed) we require some notice. If you are visiting and require use of the lift, please contact Cardiff Violins on 029 20 22 77 61.
By Train
The shop is only a 10 minute walk down St. Mary’s Street from Cardiff Central Train Station which has direct links to London (1h50m) and other parts of the country.
