Juliet Barker studied at the Bavarian State School in Mittenwald, Germany. Juliet specialises in the making of violas, being a keen viola player herself, and other small instruments. In 1956 she returned to Cambridge to set up her business and in 2006 she was awarded an MBE for her services to music and instrument making.
