Elspeth Rowe is one of our best-selling contemporary makers and her reputation is such that we often get calls from musicians all over the UK asking to see Elspeth Rowe violins and violas in particular.
Elspeth attended the Newark school of violin making from 1986 to 1989. She makes violins and violas on the Strad, Guarneri and Amati patterns, which are always extremely well received. In fact, she has won a silver medal and a “Province of Cremona” medal at the 2000 Cremona Triennale competition, one of the most important competitions for violin making in the world.
Elspeth’s instruments are always flawless in their making, and their sound never disappoints : sturdy, powerful, reliable and appreciated by all players, from intermediates to professionals.
Elspeth also makes antiqued violins, which are very succesful too!
